A Christmas bridal shower is a moment of doubled joy, firstly because Christmas is approaching and secondly because you are celebrating your bridal shower with your girls. A shower that is announced before Christmas or in the Christmas time can include the colors, decorations and traditions normally used on Christmas in ways that are appropriate and creative for both occasions.

Not only a wedding needs decorations and centerpieces, but also a bridal shower. Create a Christmas-themed bridal shower by using classic red and green lights and decorations. The same idea can be used for your bridal shower invitations, that may emphasize the green and red accents as well. The best decoration that can be used for a Christmas bridal shower is represented by the Christmas tree itself, which can be placed in the middle of the room where the bride will party with her girls. Besides pretty ornaments, that can be offered as favors, the room can be decorated with mistletoe, holly and ivy. Rustic natural star garlands will also enhance the atmosphere, so do not hesitate to use them as well.

Traditional Christmas foods

Why bother to buy all sorts of expensive foods, when you can offer your girls some sliced ham, fruitcakes, deviled eggs, candied nuts and winter fruits? In addition, to create a lovely design and also a long-lasting impression, place poinsettias and pine branches on tables; they will not only look good, but they will spread a unique aroma in the entire room where the bridal shower will take place.

Incorporate wedding colors in your bridal shower

Take advantages of the colors that will be used at your future wedding, at your bridal shower as well, creating this way a sort of a continuation in terms of shades and tones. Although Christmas is mostly about red, white and green, you can always search for another color scheme. Use garlands, ribbons, holiday wrapping paper and other decorations in the colors of your future wedding and do not forget about those characteristic colors; incorporate some shimmery tablecloths with snowflake motifs, white flowers and plenty of cotton ‘snow’ heaped around the room. This way, you will create a unique bridal shower atmosphere, by paying, at the same time, your respects to the most important Christmas colors.
